If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything.
If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything.
An interesting proverb, on many levels.
On a business level It is kind of like a company’s mission, vision and values. The more clear we are on who we are, what we stand for and what our motivations are, then the more business results will flow in that direction.
In relationships with others, unless we have clearly defined views on who we are and what we believe (or not) in, we could be more easily influenced (even manipulated) to accept others views and beliefs as our own. Then, sadly, we would live our lives not in the way we see fit but in the way others see fit.
On a personal development level, if we haven’t chosen our core values, as to what’s important to us, then it would be quite difficult to position ourselves in our minds about who we want to be and what we want to get out of life. We would be directionless.
For those who have animals as pets (particularly obvious for dog owners), unless you’re very clear internally on what you want, it would be difficult to get your dog to obey (which weakens your authority as a pack leader and in long term it can lead to potentially very unpleasant situations).
Energetically it is the law of attraction in a nutshell. If we haven’t decided what frequency to emit (I.e. what radio station to connect to), then that is what we would receive, a sort of concoction of undetermined frequencies (that will connect us to all sorts of radio stations) that we may or may not (more often) like.
So, make up your mind, decide now who you want to be in life and go for it. If along the way you want to change something, change it, and continue. You will be advancing.
If you don’t decide clearly on who you want to be, then you will be turning in circles with no beginning and no end.
Be your own life light, decide what YOU stand for!
